Meet Our Local Owners

In 2022, Christine stumbled upon Just Love Coffee while searching for potential franchise opportunities. Christine has over two decades of experience in education and sales. She is currently an international sales consultant for a major online curriculum company. So, how do we get to the coffee business from there? Let’s back up a little.

Christine met her husband George in 2007 and they married in 2013, officially making him the best stepfather to her three kids Jesse, Shaun, and Maddie. Maddie started working in coffee shops after high school and married Caitlin in 2017. In early 2021, Christine was diagnosed with breast cancer. After a year of treatment, she was cancer-free and had a whole new lease on life so she decided to make her dream of starting a family business a reality. She was intrigued by JLC’s mission statement and origin story but once the family made the trip to the nearest location in Wisconsin and tried the food and coffee, we were sold! And so our (Just) Love story began.

Christine and George are our owners who will be overseeing Jesse, Caitlin, and Maddie as they are hands-on every day in the shop. Jesse will focus on finances using his degree in business management from St. Cloud State University. Caitlin is a member of the Army Reserves and has experience in management and food service so she will be supervising the kitchen and back-of-house operations. Maddie has 6 years of experience in the coffee industry, which inspired Christine to look into opening a coffee shop and makes Maddie our perfect candidate to
manage the cafe and front-of-house operations.

We chose Champlin, Minnesota because our family lived there for many years and we would love the opportunity to serve a community that has served us so well. The kids went to school and played sports there so we are eager to support the local schools and teams. As a cancer survivor, Christine is passionate about fundraising for cancer treatment centers such as the Virginia Piper Cancer Institute.

We are overjoyed by the opportunity to open a Just Love Coffee Cafe and share the love with our community! In the car on our way to Discovery Day, we went over the company’s core values; be excellent, be genuine, be a catalyst for love. From that moment, our goal has been to create a space that embodies those values.
